Area 30

The rugged rocky shoal off of Indian Point offers A lake Ontario style@ smallmouth bass action, with lots of 1.5 to 3 pound fish available from July through November. In July, crank the 6-12' flat; from August on, Vertical jig a Fat Gitzit or blade bait like a Sonar in 15 to 25' water on the sharp drop-off. There is virtually no walleye pressure here, but few anglers who try it take some local fish, mostly west of the point.
