Area (9)

A rugged rock bar extends south almost half a mile from Shermans Point.  For walleye in May and early June, start at the hump north of Buoy Q8 and troll or drift-jig east all the way to the silos, staying in 10 to 15 feet of water.  While good in May, Shermans is even better in October, turning out lots of 7-to 8-pound pickerel.   Concentrate on the 15- to 25-foot zone.

The small creek entering east of the point has sparse coontail in 5 to 7 feet depths - terrific worming water for largemouth bass.
