Trenton Kiwanis Walleye World Tournament Results

This year the fish were biting as reports came in from each of the seven weigh-in centres located across Quinte.  Anglers were reporting the walleye were biting better than last year and the most popular lures used were spinners tipped with worms, Wallydivers, CC Shads and Husky Jerks.  Ticket sales are pegged at approximately 3850 which is down from the 5000 sold last year.  Organizers are hoping the good luck many experienced this year will result in better ticket sales next year.

Ticket sales were down but  many who showed up reported having a better time this year when compared to the past few years.

Jason Noll winner of the pike division was casting a wallydiver in Hay Bay out in the middle of the flats when he caught the winning pike. Linda Walker was the big winner of this years tournament placing 1st, 7th and 8th.  She caught all the fish trolling the open water very close to the cement plant in Picton.

Linda Walker was in shock and could not believe she had won 3 prizes.  She will be back again next year and ready to win again she says.  Her two other partners in the boat did not catch any fish but have become quite experienced in using the net.
