Area 17

Except when the alewife are in (mid-June until mid-July), Minnie Blakley Shoal can produce pickerel anytime the season is open. It=s a favorite May trolling spot; excellent weedline jigging in the late summer; the sharp drop-off can be exceptional in fall; and the 12-18 foot slope toward Ox Point offers first rate ice fishing.

Minnie Blakley, particularly the south side, is also a top spot for summer and fall smallmouth bass.
