Area (6)

Migrating walleye funnel through the deep channel between Narrows Shoal/Makatewis Island and Pine Point in May and again in November.  Fall action is especially good - vertical-jig the steep, rock 6 12- to 20-foot drop-offs on both sides of the channel.   The chunk-rock slope at the lighthouse also produces big fall smallmouth.

The area between buoys Q63 and Q66, rising from 17 feet up to about 12, is a popular early ice fishing spot.
